Why hello there! Welcome to Gradually.
My name is Gabrielle Eckard. I am a 22-year-old who is on the journey to learn what makes me happy, how to adult, and how to grow.
The story behind the name Gradually is a fun one. I wanted something that would reflect my desire to slowly improve myself and loved the concept of learning to Gradually evolve. It’s also a fun play on the word “grad” because I wanted to share my experience as a young post-grad navigating her 20s.
The purpose of this digital community is to create a community of individuals who also want to learn more about themselves and the world around us.
A little about me…
I was born and raised in the lovely state of Colorado, which has been such a wonderful place to grow up in. I ended up all the way in Massachusetts for college after being recruited for lacrosse. There is a lot to unpack regarding my lacrosse career, but that is a story for another day. I ended up stepping into a manager role with the team my junior year and really found my footing. One of my favorite parts of my job was writing monthly newsletters for the team. As I transition into a new chapter of my life, I knew I wanted to keep writing and a newsletter full of everything I am learning seemed like a great place to start.
I pursued an education in Communication & Media, Marketing, and Public Relations in college. As I enter the “real world” I wanted to take the skills I have learned and learn to apply them to my own creative projects. I have always had a passion for capturing memories through videos and photos and you will find that Gradually will hopefully (gradually) become larger than just a newsletter/blog.
